The Machinability of Aluminum

Aluminum is a fairly malleable material, making it easier to machine. It has a high machinability rating because of the longer tool life as well. Aluminum is typically more cost friendly. When anodized, Aluminum is corrosion resistant. Through the anodizing process you can also create different colors.

Aluminum’s alloys are made with Silicon, Copper, Magnesium, or Manganese. Each alloy has a slightly ranging machinability rate. We work with a few alloys, which are listed below.
