About the Willemin-Macodel 408mt
The 408mt is a highly advanced machine that combines multiple operations into one process. A capacity of 72 positions for turning, milling and probing tools gives the machine the ability to execute all the production you need. It includes a swiveling powered spindle on a B-axis and a high-precision A-axis divider spindle, allowing for turning operations at speeds up to 6,000 rpm and high angular resolution in milling mode. It is equipped with a milling spindle that can reach speeds of up to 42,000 RPM, enabling it to handle even the most demanding machining tasks with ease.
This unit, which can house either a precision vise or grippers for internal or external clamping, is driven by a rotary movement which enables secondary machining of the cut face. Utilizing the vise as a means of support for a part that is attached to the bar helps significantly with rigidity during the machining process. It can also be used to grab the bar and be adjusted to pivot down 90 degrees, granting access to the backside of the part. This enables us to finish the parts on our machines.
